Digi Court ("we", "us", the "App") is a case-management application for practising advocates in India. It helps you track your court cases, cause lists, hearings and orders sourced from the public eCourts portal, and send hearing/fee reminders to your own clients. This policy explains what information the App handles, how it is used, and your choices. By using Digi Court you agree to this policy.
| Category | Details |
|---|---|
| Account & profile | Your mobile number (used to sign in), and profile details you enter: name, qualification, Bar enrolment number, office address, office mobile number, practice State and District. |
| Your case data | Court cases you import from the public eCourts portal using your own eCourts credentials — case numbers, courts, party names, hearing dates, orders/judgments and case status. You may additionally enter client mobile numbers, opposite counsel details and fee records. |
| Contacts (optional) | If you grant contacts permission, the App lets you pick a client's mobile number from your phonebook. Only the number you select is used; your contact list is never uploaded or stored on our servers. |
| Device & technical | A device identifier used to keep your account secure on a single device (banking-style), your device model, a push-notification token, and basic diagnostic timestamps (e.g. last sync, alert delivery status). |
| Subscription | Your plan, its status and expiry. Any paid plans are handled through Google Play Billing — we do not receive or store your card, bank or payment credentials. |
We do not collect your precise/GPS location. "State" and "District" are text you type for your practice area only.
| Permission | Purpose |
|---|---|
| SMS (send) | To send the case and fee reminders you configure to your clients, from your own device. We do not read your incoming SMS. |
| Contacts | Optional — to pick a client's mobile number when you add party details. |
| Notifications | To show hearing, sync and alert notifications on your phone. |
| Accessibility ("Digi Court WhatsApp Auto-Send") | Optional and off by default. When you explicitly enable it, it taps the "Send" button in WhatsApp so the reminders you configured are delivered without a manual tap. It does not read, collect or transmit your WhatsApp chats or any other on-screen content. |
| Display over other apps / ignore battery optimisation | To let the reminder scheduler run reliably at your chosen times, even in the background. |
We do not sell your data, and we do not use it for advertising.
All data is transmitted over encrypted connections (HTTPS/TLS) and stored on access-controlled servers. Your account is bound to a single device; signing in on a new device signs the old one out.
We keep your data while your account is active. You can request deletion of your account and all associated data at any time:
On a verified request we permanently delete your account, cases, alerts, fees, templates and related records, ordinarily within 7 days (some records may be retained where required by law or for fraud prevention).
You may access or correct your profile in the App, withdraw permissions in Android Settings, and request a copy or deletion of your data via the contacts below.
Digi Court is intended for practising advocates and is not directed at anyone under 18.
We may update this policy; material changes will be notified in the App or on this page with a new "Last updated" date.
